Clinton 17 Automatic ??

Brand new here, hope I've done this right ....

Picked this up today and wondered what the heck it is? Is it a knock off of a late '60's early '70's watch or was it always this quality ?
Strap is rubber, says 'Hong Kong' on buckle, says 'T FRANCE T' at bottom of dial.

Also would like to know how you go about setting the day of the month ? Stem only pulls out once to set hands (which
eventally sets day of week) but can't seem to get month number to change (unless I move the hands 24 hours).
