Lucien Piccard is obviously a SWI (Swiss Watch International group of companies) brand. From what I have read, some have been comparing LP watches to Stuhrling's offerings. Invicta and Croton have also been named in comparing LP watches.

Here is the official Lucien Piccard history from the SWI website:

Lucien Piccard has been handcrafting fine watches for generations. Founded in 1923 in Switzerland, Lucien Piccard timepieces have adorned royalty, dignitaries and celebrities world-wide.

Lucien Piccard pioneered the use of gemstones on watches and was among the first to bring the world slim-line watch designs. The SWI Group continues this tradition of excellence and has repositioned itself for the 21st Century as a leader in the branded watch arena.

With this heritage and a reputation for impeccable design and high quality at affordable prices, the SWI Group continues to offer products synonymous with quality and value. As evidence of its confidence in the quality of it’s products, Lucien Piccard remains one of the few watch companies to offer a limited lifetime warranty; a long standing policy which has earned the company notoriety and distinction over the years.

Lucien Piccard watches continue to marry tradition with modern watch technology. Materials such as 14 and 18 karat gold, stainless steel, diamonds and other precious stones are incorporated into many of the LP styles.

Lucien Piccard brings affordable, stylish, quality products to within reach of almost any customer.

I really try to understand this. Right now I am thinking that the Chinese manufacturer might offer the brands using Breitling second hands a cut-throat low price for those pieces with the Breitling hands. The Chinese producers probably have millions of these Breitling second hands in stock (to supply the fake manufacturers).

It would be nice to find out what the real story is.

Your take on the Chinese suppliers is also my thought.
