You may have seen John's Diesel watch he showed us some time ago. I took an interest in it and John agreed to send it The Netherlands for a "nice price". As soon as I got some funds from a sold watch in, I contacted and paid him and he send it super quickly!
When I got the watch in, I noticed 2 things: the dial is WAAAAAY greener, than I thought, but there was some damage to the case in the form of some 'scraped-up metal' (see in the wrist pictures close to the crown) I HAD to figure out if I could remedy that. Thanks to some careful grinding with a grinding stone piece on my mini drill (Dremel lookalike) and then extensive polishing I got it to 90% improvement, I think. There is a slight 'dip' there, but thanks to some 'brushing" it's only noticeable in certain light. Mission accomplished!
A third thing I did not notice from John's picture, is that it might be a challenge to find a bracelet or any other strap for the watch....It has curved spring bars!! I was convinced it had just straight lugs underneath the case, but no! I'm not a real fan of the green canvas strap, though it has leather lining, but have to find some solution later...
Because the strap is now wet because of cleaning, you get a new wrist shot later!
