..aka Brother hebertjb.

First we've got a whacking great Pile O' Bracelets & Straps..

..that's about 10 pounds of affixments there. EEK!

Then we've got some watch cases which are, alas..

Click HERE for larger photo or HERE for supersized photo

..all missing the casebacks. Ah well! Miracles happen, and I may run across casebacks to fit.

Next is a lot of seven complete cases - these will become Caveman Frankenwatch projects this winter.

The top row is all Seiko (well, the last is a Pulsar, but same difference). Bottom row L to R you've got a Waltham SwissSonic, a Hamilton, and a Benrus. The latter is particularly impressive - built like a tank!

Next we have 3 near misses..

The Victorinox on the bottom trys to start, but won't keep running. I'll probably repair it and the Swiss Army by dropping in OEM modules. The Advance is a write-off, and is a cheap POS in any case.

Next a couple of lots that WooHOO! Rolling on the floor laughing my a.. off WIS Honeymoon only needed new batteries.

I have a mint example of those Casio Marine Gears already, of course, so these will be "paid forward" at some point..

But also some keepers! WIS Honeymoon It's a happy day, a new watch arrived

The United Way Watch is a Hamilton 974 w/ fully-jeweled Swiss movement, screwdown crown, etc. - perhaps the best-built promo watch I've ever run across.

The Russian I can't ID. Oops! You Russian experts mind chiming in? Blushing The case appears identical to Bro. Clicks Slava Peace Watch. Chinese movement.

The Swiss Army is marked 87868 and is perhaps The Quintessential Entry-Level Swiss Army. Runs fine and is in decent condition.

The li'l (35mm) Q & Q Railroad Approved may be my favorite.. these QnD shots don't do it justice I am crying, so expect some Catalog Shots real soon! The movement is a 1-jewel Miyota.

There are even a few odds & ends that I I am confused overlooked 'til after I'd already wrapped the photo shoot. Eek! A bagged & tagged Pulsar dive watch engraved "My Best Friend" on the back, a spiffy black PVD Pilot bracelet, etc.

Thank you so much Bro. Hébert!

But would I deserve me Tom Swift moniker if I hadn't already whipped up the first Franken?

No I tell ye, No!

Here we started with a li'l (41.5mm) Pepsi-Bezel diver which had actually been used for diving.. and failed! EEK! Complete water inundation, movement locked up Tighter'n Dick's Hatband. Now.. you could believe my story that the color scheme - Red, Green, Blue - is a tribute to the Primary Light Spectrum. Smile Or maybe you'll think that I happened to have a worn-cased Wal-Mart $8 cheapie which fortuitously had the right dial diameter, the better to use as transplant fodder. Wink

The color balance is skewed in these indoor ambient-light photos.. Frowning set your mental color balance to..

..remove the purple tint in the blue areas, and you'll have it. ;-) :-)

The mod actually entailed more than meets the eye.. the bezel was locked up and, when I finally seperated it from the case there was what looked like silt completely filling the voids. EEK! I reassembled with a dab of silicone grease, and the action is silky now. :-)

Also, the spacer ring is a custom which required 45 minutes to fabricate, all on it's own (usually I can do the whole job in under an hour, this one took nearly 2 Eek!).

So.. ENNYway, there ye go! Man I love Watchmaking Season! LOL!
