That pretty solid SS movement ring is not removeable, at least not in any conventional sense. It doesn't appear to be a monolithic part of the case proper, nor do I see any screws that would release it. It appears to be a press-fit?

I'd appreciate any thoughts you True Gurus might have. Dr. Murphy? Professor Keaton?
