Here is a quick tutorial on posting pictures

There are 3 ways to attach picture(s) to a post .

Method 1. Attach a file method. This will attach a picture from your hard drive to the message. The picture must be less than 125KB. When completed the attachment will appear at the end of the post. Just like the "Blue hills.jpg" attached at the bottom of this message
a) click on attach a file (it will change to blue) and it will open an address bar with browse and attach

b) Select the browse button, this will open a "File Upload" box. Navigate to your picture location, select your picture and double click (If you single click, you will have to click open.).
.
This will fill the address bar with your picture location,

c) Press the attach button. The page will go away then come back.

d) You will now see the attachments paper clip is gone and your file is listed along with a delete button.

e) You may attach up to 3 pictures in your post using Method 1

f) If finished, select preview, then post message. The picture will be appear at the bottom of your message, "Blue hills.jpg" in this example

Method 2 and 3: This will place the picture on the page by linking to a web based photoserver/host such as photobucket or flickr. This will place the picture wherever you place the code.

Method 2: This will use the insert image url icon on the toolbar.

a)Go to the toolbar

and select this icon

b)This will cause an address url window to appear.

c)Type or paste the direct url of your picture. Do not include img, or html code. Select ok
This will insert the img code with your url inside.

d) If finished select preview then post message. The picture will appear in your message at the position you inserted the code.

e) If you want to post multiple pictures, simply repeat inserting the image code

Method 3:This will use direct img code to insert the picture.
This is very handy from photobucket because it has IMG code as an option.

a) either paste or type the img code directly on the page. The demo below will have the lead and trail [ ] img changed so you can see.
{img]http://www.pmwf.com/Phorum/mods/bbcode/icons/img.gif[/img}
If the lead and trail { } are replaced with [ ], you will have the insert icon seen here.

b) if finished, select preview, then post message. Your photobucket picture will appear in your message at the position you placed the code

c) If you want to post multiple pictures, simply repeat inserting the image code

Hopefully you have found this helpful.

Chris
